Sustainable Livelihoods

Helping families build income while protecting the environment.

Sustainable livelihoods are essential to long-term conservation. When families have practical ways to earn income, communities can protect forests, restore land and invest in the future.

Our livelihood initiatives support cocoa agroforestry, community nurseries, farming skills, local enterprise, youth participation and responsible resource-use practices that strengthen household income while protecting biodiversity.

The work is designed to be practical and community-owned: families learn by doing, local participants help prepare materials, and project activities are linked to conservation value, food security and future income opportunities.

  • Cocoa agroforestry and responsible farming support
  • Community nursery skills and practical project participation
  • Youth and family involvement in field activities
  • Local enterprise thinking connected to conservation value
